Music has been my life since I started to learn clarinet at age nine. Having passed my grades I realised piano was my real love and took all piano grades, followed closely by drums as well. From playing in bands, I went on to teach piano and drumming in schools in Northumberland from 1998 and as this developed song writing and production workshops followed. I have written countless pieces for schools and myself which ranged from simple songs to orchestral items whilst at the same time running my own small studio. I continue to work for Northumberland County as well as giving private lessons. I wrote 2 pieces for Children in Need and the BBC ran a programme about my work. Experience of going to LA and working with Max Riley Studios was a useful extension to my work and I continue to write music for my own use and enjoyment as well as working with other musicians. I teach all grades of music theory as well as piano, keyboards, drums and songwriting. |
